Goldfish on the Brain

I came dangerously close to buying a goldfish, yesterday.

I don’t know why, I guess I’ve just had

Quasiwhale-o

According to an article published by the San Francisco Chronicle last week, a humpback whale became entangled by crab trap lines near the Farallon Islands along her migratory route. Divers from the Marine Mammal Center in Marin County worked for hours with curved knives and were able to free her from the lines in the first successful attempt of this nature ever conducted. In return, the divers reported, she swam up to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushing them gently around as if to say ‘thank you.’

Pigs in Sea!!!!

I love, love, love this article from Mail Online, UK. Apparently escaped farm pigs (gone feral) have been fed by Caribbean beach locals and tourists for many years now. The pigs swim out into the ocean to greet ships returning to harbor. They engage in typical beach bum activities such as basking in the sun, wading in the water, and providing entertainment to the beach’s many tourists. So go to Big Major Spot Island and swim with the pigs!
